The Technical Assistance Unit (TAU) for the European Union-funded Civil Society Fund III in Ethiopia (CSF III) has organized a half-day Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) workshop as a follow-up action from the consultation workshop between the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) and CSOs on the role of CSOs in democratic elections held on 1 March 2019. The workshop, scheduled for 20 May 2019, has the objective of supporting Ethiopian CSOs for a strategic engagement and meaningful role in Ethiopia’s upcoming election. It will also lay the foundations for a long-term engagement of CSOs in electoral processes through the formation of a dedicated consortium of Ethiopian CSOs for Electoral Support.

The workshop will be held at the Sapphire Addis Hotel in Addis Ababa. Around 100 participants representing CSOs and their networks are expected to attend the event.
